1 Corinthians 13:4–8a (ESV) "Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth."
On a beautiful Saturday morning I arrived at the bride and groom's wedding venue; which was simply breathtaking. With enchanting sun rays peaking through the clouds, lavish colorful blooms attached to tall trees and of course a venti iced coffee in my hand, I walked the grounds to feel all those blissful wedding vibes.
The groom and his groomsmen were not at the site just yet, so I was able to hang out with the bride and bridesmaids with no fear of her being seen! Her makeup artist and good friend started the show with pampering the bride with her hair and makeup look. I photographed each raw moment with elegance and taste. Also known as letting the bride have these special moments with her loved ones without getting in the way as much as possible.
The mother of the bride was doing all those little extra details for her daughter as the morning progressed. Laughter, singing and "The Greatest Showman" soundtrack playing, it was set, we were all going to have a great day!
It's past noon and now the groom and groomsmen are here! Family and friends help decorate and set up for the big day. At this point I do my best to stay "invisible" and capture these raw behind the scene moments. It is then that I see the groom and his brothers taking "selfies" and I realized just how excited he is. His face full of energy, smiles, not to mention. his eyes were glowing of such happiness.
As requested, we had the bride and groom meet up right before the ceremony to exchange letters that they both wrote individually to one another {how romantic and beautiful right!?). The catch was the groom had to be blindfolded at first and at all times they had their backs to opposite side of the door so they couldn't see each other; very touching moment between these two souls who are obviously madly and deeply in love.
This is sealed forever through my lens but also indeed in their hearts.
IT IS TIME!
The ceremony was such a delight to not only photograph but to observe as well. The scripture, love and passion to share how they feel to one another was an extraordinary experience. They vowed to each other but also to God. Just beautiful.
Music, happiness and L O V E ! The rest of the day unfolded just so organically. I photographed their bridal party, family and venue. My favorite was when I snuck the two lovebirds away from the noise for the golden hour special. Which I feel couldn't have gone more perfect than it had. He held her, she kissed him and the rest is history.
I still had thirty minutes left on the clock so I captured their first dance and loved one's speeches {her sister's was literally incredible}. Bonus, I was able to take photos of the bride and her mom for the "mother-daughter" dance. I'm not crying {insert sarcasm here- I don't think there was a dry eye out there}.
The evening comes to an end for this wedding photographer. 7 1/2 hours of beauty and love. It goes without saying, these two enjoyed their wedding day. I feel so honored they chose Unforgettable Photography by Priscilla {ME} as their photographer. I will cherish these memories and I wish the beautiful couple nothing but love and wisdom through their lives as husband and wife.
Sincerely your photographer and new friend,
Priscilla
